'If a child has been able in his play to give up his whole loving being to the world around him, he will be able, in the serious tasks of later life, to devote himself with confidence and power to the service of the world.'

About Us
Born in Western Colorado and raised in the woods, Ms. Micaela grew up roaming free. As a young adult she spent years nannying and helping families transition their children to preschool, and in doing so was introduced to Waldorf education. Finding a language to explain the way she had been intuitively working with children was like finally inhaling a deep breath of fresh air. And, it was while completing her Waldorf teacher training with the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Training that she realized how unhindered her childhood had been, and that in all of her years living in different cities around the U.S. and the world, she was making her way back to that simple way of living. After welcoming her daughter four years ago and spending the first year of her life on lockdown in an apartment in Amsterdam, her family made the move to Midway where they found a welcoming new community, family support, and ample outdoor space to roam. Ms. Micaela is looking forward to welcoming you and your child into her home.
